INTERNET ACCESS

A Wi-Fi connection will be provided to attendees during the congress.

SMOKING POLICY

This is a strictly non-smoking event.

PARTICIPANTS ATTENDANCE POLICY

All event activities (including Plenary Sessions, Meet-the-Expert Sessions, Satellite Symposia, Poster Sessions, Exhibition Area, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered participants. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

CLIMATE

April in Prague marks the start of spring, with mild temperatures ranging from 8°C to 15°C. The weather is generally pleasant, though occasional rain showers can occur. Light layers and an umbrella are recommended for comfort.

CURRENCY

The official currency of the Czech Republic is the Czech koruna (CZK). While some places may accept euros, it is recommended to pay in CZK for better exchange rates. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted.
Foreign currency may be changed at banks, hotels, airports and in exchange offices. ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at the airport.

SAFETY & SECURITY

We recommend you to follow the same rules of safety you follow while travelling anywhere else:

  • Keep your travel documents in your hotel safe deposit box
  • Always carry the hotel address with you when you leave the hotel
  • Do not leave personal items (bags, mobile phones, etc.) unattended
LETTER OF INVITATION

We will send you a letter of invitation upon request and after full completion and payment of the registration. Please note that this letter of invitation does not commit the congress organisers to any kind of financial support or hosting arrangements, nor does it guarantee an entry visa. The congress organisers will not contact embassies or consulates on your behalf.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Capital City: Prague
Population of Prague: 1.3 million - Prague is the largest city in the Czech Republic
Official language: Czech

TIME ZONE

From April 16 to April 19, 2026, Prague will be operating on Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is UTC+2

ELECTRICITY

In Prague, the standard electrical system operates at 230 volts with a frequency of 50 Hz. Power outlets typically accept Type E plugs, which have two round pins and a hole for the socket's male grounding pin. Type C and Type F plugs are also commonly used and compatible with Type E sockets.

If your devices use a different plug type, you'll need a suitable plug adapter. For devices not rated for 230V, a voltage converter may be necessary. However, many modern electronics (like smartphones and laptops) are dual voltage and only require a plug adapter.

TIPPING

Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory in Prague. A tip of 5–10% of the bill is customary in restaurants if you're satisfied with the service. In cafés, bars, and taxis, it's common to round up the total or leave some small change. Tips are usually given in cash directly to the server, even if you pay the bill by card.
